Elva Kvina offers fantastic fishing opportunities. Here you can catch salmon and sea trout within 16 km of fishing stretches of varied character, quiet areas, and waterfalls.

Climbing trip in raw nature

Via Ferrata is a form of rock climbing where the climbing route consist of steel steps and safety wire. The trips give you the opportunity to experience the mountain in an exciting way without jeopardizing your safety, no climbing experience required.

A visit to the mining town of Knaben is a unique experience. Here you can join guided tours in the “abandoned mine” and visit the museum that shows Knaben’s mining and war history.

Knaben Alpinsenter

a very family-friendly ski resort

Knaben Alpinssenter is located at 525 to 705 meters above sea level and has three wide runs and a small child`s rope. If you don’t have your own skis or snowboards, it is available for hire at Knaben. Plenty of space on the slopes and a large car park.

The Emigrant Museum

The journey to America

There are many stories about Norwegians who emigrated to the USA in the 1930 and 40s. But in few places are they as well documented as here in Kvinesdal. See photos, documents and articles from the period 1880 to 1960.

Utsikten art centre

Førland Museum

At the tip of the outdoor area of the hotel there is a museum of residence and studio of artist Marcelius Førland. It has a rich selection of Førland’s paintings. Kristian Marcelius Førland is Kvinesdal’s most famous painter.
